Re: *lexi*
You are doing great! Well on your way to be binkini ready for sure!
How are you finding myfitnesspal? A friend of mine sent me an invite, but I haven't taken the time to check it out yet.
Also, what kind(s) of exercise/work-outs are you doing?
Sorry to be so nosey, but I am really looking for/needing some serious inspiration and motivation.
I like myfitness pal. I like to enter in what I'm going to be eating for the day, and then see what my calorie count is up to, that way I can adjust accordingly for snacks and the like. It also has pretty much every food in my fridge/pantry (we buy mostly Great Value, the Walmart brand).
I don't actually exercise at all. I should, but I can't really. I can't afford a gym membership, and we don't have any equipment at our house. My mom is a personal trainer, but she lives an hour away, so that doesn't really help either. I do a lot of moving around and heavy lifting at work, so I'm not completely sedentary, but not exactly active either.
You can really ask me anything you want, I am an open book :-)
That's awesome that you have been able to lose the weight by focusing on your food - and it certainly helps that you are able to get some activity in at your job too (to say the least! it sounds like a LOT of activity!)
I have to admit, I dislike the whole 'food journalling' process - no matter what program or website or whatever - but I know that that is a cruicial part of staying on track. I guess I am going to have to just bite the bullet and do it if I don't want to be a tub o'lard (which is where I am certainly headed!)
I tried to do weight watchers on line this summer, and was doing well until about 6 weeks in...I always start strong and fizzle out...trouble is that I spend the money on the program or products and then it's a waste. I hate the weight loss/weight gain yo-yo!
I am seriously considering U Weight Loss again...I lost 30 pounds back in 2008 (summer) much of which was belly fat, which is fantastic! And I managed to keep it off for about a year...then stress/emotional eating kicked in and I gained back about 20 lbs. Lost 15 of that for the wedding and now I am 20 - 25lbs heavier from that point...I seriously suck! lol
Sorry for the dump! Wow - that was intense!!
Keep up the great work lexi! I hope that some of your determination rubs off somehow on me!!
I feel ya on the whole losing motivation thing. It's been four weeks and I am seriously about ready to call it and drive over to Taco Bell, lol. Being back in my size 14 jeans helps though. And I know on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years' eve I'm gonna ignore the diet. Also knowing that being thinner and healthier will help make it easier when we get pregnant (hopefully) next year.
I also have a cute little white bikini with green and blue apples on it that I would like to wear in the lazy river in Orlando in May.
I'm sending some motivation your way, although I've gotta tell you, I need a lot for myself. :-)
