My boss wants to take our office out for dinner in the city to celebrate some deals we've closed. With spouses, it will be 20 people.
He wants some place 'fun, not romantic/cozy' but the only places I can think of would be Cuba Libre and El Vez. He doesn't want small plates so the Garces' restaurants and The Continental our out. Can anyone think of any other restaurants? I'm searching philly.com's restaurant list but not coming up with much. Thanks!

Re: City restaurant recs
Does he want a private room?
How about R2L?

Pub and Kitchen has a private upstairs with personal bar.
I plan and book our office holiday party so I know more about locations with private rooms...
mr. eagles' work has had company dinners at Davio's a few times, which was really nice. They have a private room, but we always sat at the long table in the main dining room by the windows. I really like it there and the food is great
The last time they had a work dinner it was at R2L in one of the private rooms (my suggestion). The views are just spectacular and the service was superb. The food was fine - nothing wrong with it but not one of the best meals I've ever eaten

I think Triumph Brewing Company has a room upstairs that can be reserved... I want to say that eSynergy has posted about it before.
Rembrandt's and London Grill in Fairmount also have upstairs rooms, I think.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
That's right! The upstairs private room (the one surrounded in glass) at Triumph is great. Also Fork has a nice private room. I've been to baby showers at Fork and it's always very nice. Fork, Etc. also has dinners there -- you have to call far in advance and it's only on certain nights, but they're also great.
