Crazy first time mom....

I have felt baby move every day the past month or so but the last 2 days I haven't felt much of anything. Could it just be position change? Weather (We blame a lot of things on weather right?) :) Or just normal for this to happen?

Just wondering!

Thanks for answering my crazy questions! :)

Re: Crazy first time mom....

  • I used to drink a coke or a lot of ice water then lay there still.   H did this to me a lot.
  • It's totally normal.  I still have slow days (weeks).  I attribute it to a growth spurt, position change, etc.  It really can be anything.  As long as you're feeling her sometimes, I think you're golden.  You could do kick counts but I don't think those are really accurate until later...like 28 weeks or so.

  • Ditto Kendra.  I'd just make sure you are feeling some movement at some point in the day.  Kick counts will be helpful later, after 28 weeks too.

  • If it makes you feel a little better, I didn't even start feeling movement until about 23 weeks.

Drink or eat something sweet, and I'll bet it wakes her up and gets her moving.

Before long, her foot will be permanently lodged in your ribs and the kicks won't be so wonderful!

(actually, all baby kicks are wonderful. I miss that about being pregnant.)

  • I didn't feel B consistently every day until probably 25 weeks. Drink something sweet, and if nothing else... rest your worries and call your OB (that's what they are there for!)
