How do you organize your coupons?

Right now I have mine in a plain white envelope. I have them sorted by the areas in the store in the order I shop. Is there a better way? I don't want to have to rifle through them while shopping to see what I have.

What do you do?

Re: How do you organize your coupons?

  • Mary makes an awesome coupon organizer which I bought :-)

I have them divided as so

    meat/chicken/fish

    dairy

    fruits and veggies

    frozen

    toiletries

    cleaning supplies

    pet

    pantry

    misc

I will go through them weekly and pick out the ones I will use and then put them in the front of the organizer with my grocery list.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I have all of my coupons in a small accordian organizer that I keep in my purse. I organize them my stores (ie. grocery store, target, mall, BRU, etc). Since I make my list at home, I take out whatever coupons I'm going to use and attach them to my list with a paper clip, so I am not fumbling for them in the check out line. (Since I tend to just give up if I can't find them quickly.) I can always get to my other coupons if I need them, but at least I feel a little more organized when I get there.

  • I use one of my organizers. My sections are labeled:

    Baking

    Boxed food (cans too)

    Cold/frozen food

    Snacks

    Personal care

    Household/cleaning supplies

    Paper suppplies (TP, foil etc)

Misc, (for dog treats, batteries, whatever)

And the in the back I keep store specific coupons, like BB&B, Joanns, and restaurant coupons.

Liek Amy said, I pull out the ones I need and keep them in the front of the holder when I go to the store.

  • Mary, what is this coupon holder you've designed? Do you have any more for sale?
