X factor - this week's favorite performances (spoiler?)

So who all did you like this week?

Once again - Melanie!  Also enjoyed LeRoy again, and li'l Rachel.

Lakoda Rayne was all over the place, IMO.  They need to go.

Re: X factor - this week's favorite performances (spoiler?)

  • Rachel....OMGEEEE.
    Absolutely amazing.

Seriously, what was Simon thinking the last 2 weeks with the pop song catastrophes HE selected??
Let her pick her own songs from now on...she knows her genre.
It was nice that he admitted he messed up though.

I actually agree with LA about Melanie. She can obviously sing and win this competition but there was nothing really wow to me about this performance.

I curled up in a ball on the couch and cried "Mommy" when Drew told Paula she was the one who designed her dress. So. awkward.

Can we say Drew = 13 year old Jenna Rink last night!!
Something in her mannerism totally made me think of the similarities.

  • I think Drew should go. She doesn't WOW me like the rest! I am still not a fan of Stacy. I love Melanie!! She makes this look so easy.

  • I <3 LeRoy.   The burrito guy was pretty good too - for some reason I feel he just sang a Joe Cocker song recently (am I losing it?)

Drew & Melanie - they're good but I feel like they do the same thing every week

Astro - I gotta admit the kid's good.

I liked Lakoda Rayne this week.

  • I love Drew. I'd like to see her do something a little more upbeat next week, not upbeat like Rachel's picks the past few weeks though. Something more along the lines of Corinne Bailey Rae's "Put Your Records On" from a few years ago.

I like Astro. I'm nerdy and wish they'd scroll his lyrics or something. I feel like I miss a lot of what he says and I have to watch it three or four times to get everything and fully appreciate his effort.

Rachel and Leroy were both so much better this week and I think it's purely in song choice.

I agreed with Simon that the beginning of Josh's song was pretty meh, the end was fantastic though.

I'm neutral on Melanie, Marcus, and Chris. They're performances were good, I just don't like them personally.

I didn't like either of the groups or Stacy and I hope one of them goes home.

  • I think all three girls are amazing...and I love Josh.
  • I'm actually getting a little bored with the show.  I feel like it's the same thing every week, and I'm not loving the way they do things on the X Factor...judges are still choosing the songs, tons of background dancers and lights, etc.

My favorites are Melanie, Josh, and LeRoy.  They have amazing voices.  I'd be fine with everyone else going home right now.

I liked Drew's unique voice in the beginning but she hasn't done anything impressive, IMO.  Whatever she does, she should NOT try to design clothes or style her hair.

I cringe every time Nicole opens her mouth.  She irks me.

This is what the X Factor is. It is how it is in the UK, where it started, the judges always choose the songs, and they do a lot in the background.

I hate Astro. He is a punk. Chris can go too.

Yes.  And again...like I said, I don't love the way they do things on the X Factor.

I definitely prefer American Idol where it's more focused on the singing and the contestants have more control.
