New England Gift Baskets

We alternate Christmas between families and this year I'll be here in MA and not in MD.

My grandmothers really dont need/want anything but do love a good gift/food basket.

Any favorite companies that do new england food/snacks?

In NC I always ordered from southerseason.com

Re: New England Gift Baskets

  • You could do one of Legal Sea Foods' packages.  I've never used them but have heard good things.  Pricier than your average fruit basket, of course, though the soup sampler isn't too bad.

ETA: Oh the Chipyard in Fanueil Hall ships too.  We just had these at a meeting yesterday so it's on my mind.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Why did I click on that? Now I want cookies.

They'd go really well with your organic milk Angel

Or I could make some ice cream to go with them? I have an ice cream maker. Don't pretend you're surprised.

Why on earth do you have an ice cream maker?  Is your DH the normal one in your family? Wink Hahaha!

P.S., OP, sorry for hijacking your post with our silliness!

It was a wedding gift. I certainly wouldn't register for an ice cream maker, we used it once. It's nice, too, it's Cuisinart.

Plus, I like small, single-use appliances.

  • There is a company in New Hampshire called Gift Baskets by Your Design.

We use them at Christmas and for family gifts during the year.  They are great.  They will design anything you want and focus on New England.  I think they have 3 divisions, one for NH Only, one for NE and then the USA, but give them a call I am sure you will be happy

    website is www.UniquelyNewEngland.com  or 877-248-GIFT

  • I love the stonewall kitchen stuff, and they are from Maine. : ) (Although they are all over, so maybe that's not all that special.)

They also have a nice New England cookbook.

  • I generally put together my own gift basket with Vermont maple syrup, pancake mix (I mix up my own and include a recipe) and a couple of jars are good local jam. I then pick up a basket and a couple of dish towels at Christmas tree shops and arrange it all together with a big bow.
  • Thank you! All good suggestions. I do love Stonewall Kitchen!

I have an ice cream maker. I asked for it for Christmas when I was in high school. Probably one of the best inventions ever. But usually I am too lazy to make it. If I want ice cream I want instant gratification.
