Jewelry party
Anyone want to help me pick out something to buy? I have terrible fashion sense. I have to go to a party tomorrow night and even though I know I'm not obligated to buy something I always do.
What should I buy?

Last time she had one of these parties I got a few things and one pair of earrings has become my favorite, so I do like the stuff.
Also, do you feel obligated to buy things at parties like this?

I think they have a few cute earrings, but I feel like my fashion sense is way out of whack right now. Plus, I hardly wear any of my jewelry as it is. I usually just wear my diamond studs, my wedding rings and necklace DH gave me while we were dating.
I have a friend that is a Stella and Dot consultant and want to throw a party to help her out, but it doesn't help I am not thrilled about any of the jewelry there either.
But yes, I am a sucker for home parties, if I go I usually end up buying something, even if it is small.
Personally I'm not a fan of the Silpada stuff, I ordered two rings and they both left a green ring around my finger. I returned them and the rep gave me a hard time as she said my friend who was the host would lose part of her credits she had gotten at the party, UM it left a green ring around my finger I don't care!! There stuff is also overpriced, they usually have deals that makes it better. I generally don't like the high pressure sale tactics of the in home parties, I usually go if I have nothing else to do, but I don't always buy something. I think it's rude to invite your friends over and expect them to buy stuff even if they don't honestly like something/in the budget etc.
buy something classic, or a gift for someone.
I generally wear the same jewelry daily (all classic pieces) so I don't need a bunch of costume jewelry
Last time I bought these earrings for like $19 and I really do love them. I'll probably spend around $30-ish so I'm sure I can find something. I'm also not a fan of home parties in general, but I like getting together with girl friends and I haven't seen this friend in ages.
I'm surprised they turned your finger green though because I thought their big selling factor was it was the 925 sterling silver. Oh well, either way I'll find something small.
I only wear my wedding rings daily, not even earrings!

2012 Reading Challenge
Those are pretty... Sorry if my response was bratty I am just in a mood due to the lack of bathrooms at my conference and I'm tired:)
yeah I have no idea why both rings left a green ring. I have it happen a lot with rings from banana, silpada, etc. I can't wear earrings that aren't at least 14k, or white gold/platinum as my ears get irratated. So it may just be me.
Treat yourself, buy a fun necklace or something cute.
