In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Tee hee: gramma just gave h a promotion
H's promotion board meets this year with him pinning on in over a year (if selected). I told gramma about this general plan. Well, a month ago she sent us a check to get champagne to celebrate our new home and his promotion. That was funny enough.
We just got an anniversary card addressed to new rank and me. Oh, gramma. Jumping the gun by at least 18 months.

My grandmother was angry at me for not changing my name because she assumed I did and changed her will the week of the wedding.
Oh grandmothers.
When DH was a CPT, a friend of mine addressed cards to us as CPL and Mrs. I appreciate her effort, but it made me chuckle.

DW's mom gave her a similar promotion. Technically K is ABD, not PhD yet. But when my MIL sends stuff she writes: Dr. K Lastname, PhD. So not only is the title not legit yet but she puts both Dr. and PhD.
