Newly Married, New Nestie!
Hi ladies!
I just got married on 10/9 and joined The Nest from The Knot. So I wanted to say hi to everyone!
Is there anything I should know about this board? Looking forward to getting to know you all! :-)
Re: Newly Married, New Nestie!
Hi and welcome to the board! Congratulations on your recent wedding. Best wishes for many years of happiness together!
This board is pretty slow these days, and although I check in daily I don't always post especially since I am checking in from my phone. But hopefully I will be getting a new laptop for Christmas and I can personally be more active again
Hi! And congrats on your wedding!
This board used to be much more active, but after a few lurkers spilled private information that had been posted, everyone jumped ship to a private google group so it's kind of slow these days. But you're welcome to change that! A few of us (ok, mostly Alicia (asf619)) are still here
Hi ladies!
Lurkers, you're kidding me!!! That's atrocious; shame on them. I don't blame folks for bailing.
My name's Deb, btw.
Congrats! I come on here and there. It was nice before when there were so many nice people on here, but then when all that crap happened it just has not been the same. Not cool... hopefully some will come back here after some time and it will pick up more. I still ask my questions and will answer if I can (I don't seem to be much help though
). Welcome!
I do have to add that there has to be more people than we think on here... have you seen the # looking at some posts? hmm...
I agree, I also look back to see replies. So you can count me as 2 or 3 views (more if the thread gets longer). I also bet that there aren't too many "unknown" lurkers - I'm guessing people in the google group read but don't post here now.
Thanks everyone! I was born in Newport hospital, so, no, I haven't gone far! I went to college in CT where I met my husband. Though I do love to travel!! We're planning a trip in Feb to Universal Studios to go to the World of Harry Potter. LOL.... no, we aren't teenagers, we are early 30s and still just love the books.
How about you all - from RI?
Hey, Deb! Congratulations on your recent wedding, and welcome!
I am jealous of your HP trip! Let us know how you enjoy it!! I think we'll go in a few years when my daughter is older and my husband and I can pretend we're going for her.
I'm from here! I went "out of state" to Boston for college (ha!) and came right back. My husband is from Texas, though. Which is kind of funny, to move from the biggest state (well, continental!) to the littlest.
It took 5 failed IUIs and a failed IVF, but our FET worked!
My pregnancy after Infertility Blog
Our baby girl was born on April 27, 2011!
Originally from RI, went to upstate NY for college where I met DH, and ended up back here for graduate school and unexpectedly settled down here, at least for now! We love to travel, too. We did a lot of travel pre-baby but are staying put for now. Next trip will hopefully be next fall to Colorado for DH's family reunion!
