It's been awhile...and question about website hosting

Hi Nesties... I haven't been on here in awhile but I am back!  I had a question and figured this would be a good place.

I am in the process of starting a side wedding/event planning business.  I work in corporate event planning but as cheesy as this is, really miss planning my wedding and friends weddings.  I'm hoping this is something that could be more down the road.  But for now I want to start by creating a website.  I already bought a domain name from godaddy.com, but I'm not sure which source to use to host the website.  Do you have any recommendations?  I need this to be affordable, user friendly and customizeable.

 Thanks!

Re: It's been awhile...and question about website hosting

  • Do you want hosting, or someone to design and create it?  If just the latter, check out Etsy!  There are some darling options on there that I peek at for when I ever get my act together and start one, too.  I just usually search "website design".  Good luck!
  • wordpress has a good selection of customizable 'professional' templates. And the site is super easy to use.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I think you are asking about hosting companies, and whether THOSE are "user friendly and customizable", correct? Not the actual website itself?

For hosting, GoDaddy is fine :) There is also bluhost, and I actually use a local company in Michigan that I LOVE (super customer service) called "Liquid Web" www.liquidweb.com

Those are all really affordable options that I think are fairly user friendly (especially bluhost).

    Good luck!

  • Thank you!  Yes, I meant a company to host the website itself - I am somewhat tech knowledgeable and can design the website but need a good hosting platform.  I will check out all of your suggestions though!
