Does it gross anyone else out to hear people clipping their nails?

I just finished my lunch and now I can hear someone clipping their nails! Blech. It's not like they're just clipping one either.... it's all of them.

It doesn't gross me out so much as just irritate the hell out of me. I hate the sound of it. What grosses me out is when J does it in bed, and leaves the nails lying around. It grosses me out when people peel their nails, or eat them (not just bite off, but actually chew, and likely swallow. yuk!)

Nail clipping is my boss's number one peeve in life. It's fairly entertaining b/c her dad clips his every day here at the office. If she's hear she picks up on it in like one clip and goes tearing into his office to make him stop.

She even left a meeting one time b/c she heard it through the conference room walls.

It doesn't bother me personally. I wouldn't clip my nails at work, but the sound doesn't gross me out or irritate me. I'm kind of hard to gross out though.

The noise it makes for me is comparable to gum popping... and I cannot for the life of me handle gum popping ! I have actually made my mom spit her gum into my hand to throw it out because it kept popping lol. A lady behind me in line at Gap last night had one of those contant popping going on like everytime she chewed and I turned around and looked at her and I think she read my mind and quit chewing until I walked away lol. OMG it makes me angry just thinking about the noise LOL.

agreed MD personal grooming should be done at home...and in the bathroom if it's nails haha

I personally am not a fan of the noise myself but if someone did it at work I would vomit.

Wow I had no idea this was such a pet peeve. I clip mine at work when I realized they are too long, but in my closed office. Other then its at home after a bath. B picks at his toe nails why he is on the couch and that drives me nuts bc it gets all over the sofa and then I end up sitting on them.
