A little boy!! I am thrilled. From the time I got pregnant, both DH and I were convinced it was a boy. For some reason I just always pictured the baby as a boy. I wouldn't have been disappointed if it was a girl, just really surprised.
The funny thing is that for years I've been having a recurring dream about a little boy with curly hair, and in my dream I love him. I think that's why I was so convinced it was a boy. After the ultrasound, DH and I went to dinner at PF Chang's and my fortune said "A dream you have will come true". How perfect is that??

Your post gave me chills
YAY for a bouncing little boy and I love the fortune cookie. You should frame it and hang it in the nursery
Congratulations to you and your hubby! Now...what is his name going to be??
Maybe Danie's having a girl
Lori I am soooo happy for you, and that fortune is COOL. You so deserve good things after all of your struggles this past year. Yay baby boy! Names?
That's awesome! And how freaky but cool is that with your dream and the fortune? I agree with Allison that you need to frame the fortune and put it in baby's room!
Congrats and welcome to Team Blue!

His name will be Jack, after DH's uncle. Honestly, I don't like many boys' names and the ones I do like (Owen, Ethan), don't sound so hot with our last name... could you imagine if I named my kid Owen, which rhymes with my last name?
We both really like the name Jack though. Plus, I have two older sisters and one is Jill. When my mom was pregnant with me, my sister Shelly was hoping it was a boy that my parents could name him Jack - so that she could have a Jack and Jill. So it's also a little shout-out to her.
We're a bit stumped on middle names. DH wants Aaron after his college friend who disappeared in thin air several years ago and was never heard from again (seriously, his parents filed a missing person report and everything). While I like the sentimentand think it's a nice name, I'm not crazy about Jack Aaron with our last name. I like Alexander or Elliott as the middle name but I'm still looking at options. I'm open for suggestions!
Congrats! I am just thrilled for you.
That fortune is CRAZY!
HAHA Owen, I'm laughing at how that would sound. That's too funny. Yeah, you can't do that to your son.
I LOVE the name Ryan. In fact, it's the only boys name I like, and it's non negotiable if we end up with a boy one day. I think that would go nicely as a middle name with Jack too!
I love the name Ryan too... but my nephew is Jason Ryan so that's out
Actually, we need a "J" name for the first name and my favorite name is Jonah... which is my other nephew's name. I think my sister and I have the same taste in names!
I love the name Jack.
Someone I know wanted to name their future child Jack, and then she married someone with the last name Pack. Jack Pack! kinda like Owen ____...just doesn't work
Love Jack -- so spunky! There's a Jack at Milo's day care and I just think it's such a sweet name.
I don't know if you (or the other pregnant ladies) are aware of it, but there's a neat sight, babynamewizard.com (sorry Chrome won't let me make a clicky - gah!) that has great names and interesting analyses on popularity, sibling names (sibsets), and such. Might be helpful in finding a middle name idea!

Jack is so simple and sweet! Love it!
What about using husband's name for a middle name or Davori (a combination of your names). I'm still debating deciding if I like Davori, but maybe you could come up with a different combination.
