We sold a South African krugerrand (1-ounce cold coin) to American Rare Coin in Bloomington a month or two ago. As a coin that can be sold (no need to melt down into scrap), it garnered a higher price close to market. I called several places, and went to the place in MOA (is that Gold Guys?), and American Rare Coin had the best price for what I was selling. They were $200 more than the MOA store, and were less than $50 off the price of gold, which at the time was about $1,845 an ounce.
