Selling Gold?

Where is the best place in the metro?  By "best" I mean most $$$ Yes

Re: Selling Gold?

  • I'm interested to hear other's responses. I have some gold to sell and will probably go to at least 3 places.  I read an article in the Star Tribune where they brought gold to 4-5 different places and the amount quoted varied by $200 at some places. I think Gold Guys ranked the lowest.

  • We sold a South African krugerrand (1-ounce cold coin) to American Rare Coin in Bloomington a month or two ago.  As a coin that can be sold (no need to melt down into scrap), it garnered a higher price close to market.  I called several places, and went to the place in MOA (is that Gold Guys?), and American Rare Coin had the best price for what I was selling.  They were $200 more than the MOA store, and were less than $50 off the price of gold, which at the time was about $1,845 an ounce.
