s/o Christmas gift Idea Needed

My brother and SIL just bought a house. I wanted to take a family pic that I have of them and put it on something special for their house... like a portrait type of thing or a blanket or something... what is something YOU'D like to receive if you were in that situation (they have a 3-year old, too).

Suggestions?

Re: s/o Christmas gift Idea Needed

  • I think something that they would actually use would be best.  For example, I like the blanket idea, but it would need to be a nice cuddly blanket that I'd curl up with on the couch.  Sometimes those photo blankets aren't blankets that I would ever actually use.

Maybe Britlee's idea about the lamp shade would be cool.

  • I would vote no on the blanket.  Not a fan of those.

    This.

Just the photo in a nice frame would be great.

Or Home Depot/Lowes gift cards. There is always something you need for a new house.

  • What about a canvas print?

  • When we moved into the house, we got a lot of sentimental stuff like that and we use or display very little of it. I think it's harder to gift stuff like that because it doesn't always fit with people's decorating styles.

What about getting the picture put on an ornament?

  • We got this as a wedding gift but if you (or someone you know) can draw, this might be an option.

The oval says "Our First Home, our names, address and wedding date" but you could obviously change that.

  • I ordered a couple photo blankets last year for xmas gifts (one from our trip to Disney's club 33, the other was a macaw photo from Maui with DH) and they are AWESOME!!!  I ordered them from Costco.com, and I just received an email about them going on sale yesterday.
