It's official, I'm a little ronery.

I'm okay on my own, I am.  Working on myself for awhile will be good in the long run.

But I have three days off, starting today, and have absolutely no plans with anyone, none.  I'll go out and do some things on my own and it will be fine, but the little twinges of loneliness have set in.  I don't like it, man.

Tuesday I have dinner and Whose Line plans with a girlfriend from work, and I have a fairly busy schedule during the week with meetings and choir and gym, so I'm not sitting at home each night crying into my Wheaties or anything. It's just times like this where I miss my family and don't enjoy being in this separate place where I feel isolated despite working at it.

What exactly are you working on if you don't mind me asking? Do you have any pets?

  • (((hugs)))  Sorry Gault. Make some kickazz Christmas cards, have a glass of wine and enjoy doing whatever the heck you want. Maybe try for at least some phone time with a gf?
  • Aw gault - I remember those days.  Do you talk to your family much on the phone?  That might help.  And hopefully making cards will make the time go by quickly.

Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
  • Motz, I do have a phone date with a friend on Saturday so that's good. :)  Crabby, I'm going to call my mom tonight - she's at a wedding of someone I grew up with tonight so she may pass the phone around.  That would be fun.

I can't have pets but I am DYING for a kitty.  I would absolutely love it. In terms of working on myself... well, I've completely revamped my eating habits and am doing a whole body-mind-spirit turnaround, in a nutshell. lol.  It's hard, but I'm doing it.  Lost 34 pounds so far and feeling a lot better about some things, while terrified about others, since it's exposed stuff I've always pushed to the back of my mind.  I'm going to an OA meeting every week, reading a LOT of literature and started the gym again... blah blah blah.

Can't have pets? Get a gold fish, you would be surprised how personable they are. My step son won one at the fair 2 years ago and that thing will "kiss your finger" lol. Now I'm sure it just thinks your finger is food, but sometimes it's nice to know something needs you in order to live. :)

It is awesome how much weight you lost. How much more do you have to go?

  • I have a lot left to lose, a LOT.  It's embarrassing, actually, so I won't give a number.  But 33 is a good start.

Here's a before and after, so far:

Yes, I know I'm being self-absorbed right now. lol

That is amazing.....it's looking like I have about 60 to lose....how are you losing it?

  • I'm doing Medifast for the food, going to counseling, exercise, OA meetings... a lot of stuff.  The counseling and meetings are just as important for me as the Medifast part.

Beautiful wedding photo, by the way!

Well that is pretty awesome. I bet you will hit your goal in no time. Thank you.

  • Gault - you look great!!
  • gault - 30 pounds is amazing! You're not only working on the physical, but the mental aspect of your weight too, so that means you're more likely to keep it off.

    What's OA?

    That's my hope. Thanks :)
