I'm here. Veteran's Day is not a University holiday. It is a state holiday, but even at my old job it was one of our float days (my agency had more discretion with the holiday schedule than other state agencies) so I've always worked Veteran's Day.

I'm working but what else is new, we only officially close 3 days, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years and since the last two are on weekends we only close on Thanksgiving.
I'm not working that hard, we have a driver who's on light duty so I've been helping him get used to computers and our system.

I've actually been sitting here reading the vacation policy and questioning if my raise was worth giving up a week of PTO (i know, logically, it was, plus the commute is 1000x better than going into the city every.damn.day), but ugh. Is it wrong I'm thinking 3-5 yrs then I'll look again so I can have Christmas week again?
