 Last night I told H that you had the basic cable & internet for only $55 - he agreed that it would be worth the extra $5 to have basic channels.

I called BH & she said that for the 10megawhatever + the 20 channels it's $52.change

She acted surprised that I was paying$50 for just internet- i guess they are running some kind of promotion right now that drops the price of the internet

she also tried to tell me that it would $80 for them to come out and "install" the cable. I asked what that entails and she said they have to check the outlets.. i told her, lady, we just cancelled the cable 2 weeks ago. there is no reason to charge me $80 .. she said, "well, i'll be your advocate and talk to my manager and see if we can get that waived."

good idea... so she comes back and says she can do a one time fee of 39.95 .. sold.

YAY we are getting basic cable tonight! .. Chris was laughing the entire time bc i was appalled at the idea that they actually are going to charge me to come out and do nothing but look at the coax cable say YEP it's good. then call BH and tell them to turn the cable on. .. the customer service girl had a good attitude and put up with my ridiculous questions.

So. Thanks! YAY for basic cable!

    Hm...maybe I need to give them a call.  What channels do you get for this?  It might be time to put the "no cable" period of my life behind me.

    She said it's 20 channels. I think 2-25 (that's what Sara said).  just local channels, but that's all I really want

    yay for cheap tv! We only have 1 mega whatchamacalliits per second now instead of 10 and it's the same. According to H you only really need more if you are steaming or downloading. Either way, it's still el inexpensivo, yay! We were supposed to get 2-22 but ended up getting 2-25, I think the installer guy just said forget it, not worth rebooting again, so now we also have tbs and history which is cool. We have tivo (we paid for a lifetime subscription years ago) so we may end up getting Netflix through it, but in thr meantime thr local channels are good for me! (if this looks messed up, I'm using my phone bc I broke my lap top cord and can't charge it, waaaah!)
