I thought Dann Florek's performance tonight was really good. There's something so loveable about his character, and then to hear his backstory...

Aaaaand...of course I have something to say!
I LOVED DANN FLOREK LAST NIGHT! It was so awesome to hear a little bit of Cragen's backstory, and then the little conversation between him and Olivia at the end (and the look on her face when he mentioned the miscarriage) was everything.
Also, the writing is so solid and tight this year. I wish that the ratings were better. I have literally enjoyed the storyline in every single episode. It is better than it has been in a long time, in my opinion (like since season eight and nine, at least). I wish it had a better lead-in than Harry's Law.
You may recall how I went into mourning when Chris Meloni chose to the leave the show. Well, I am over it. SVU is better than ever!

i wouldnt go as far as saying SVU is better than ever. i still REALLY miss stabler and def dont think new guy holds a candle....BUT the writing has been great and all the episodes have been pretty solid. i REALLY enjoyed last nights.
Cragen's back story was fab from last night. loved, loved it.
Agree with all of this! Why couldn't the writing be this good the last couple years? Then maybe Christopher Meloni wouldn't have left!
