"Up North" suggestion for place to stay with a dog?
I feel like DH and I need some alone time away from the stressors of everyday life to just be. Any suggestions for a place to stay in northern MN that we can take our pup with also? I'd like to keep the 2 night stay to under $250.

In Ely, we've stayed at Echo Trail Outfitters and Big Lake Wilderness Lodge. I can't remember if either of them had a pet fee.
Grand Superior Lodge near Split Rock - I'm 99% sure they have a pet fee.
In Duluth, the Hilton takes dogs and even gives you a dog bed to use while you're there! I don't know the regular price but we've gotten good deals through priceline.
The AmericInn's along Lake Superior allow dogs, if you want a regular hotel.
You could also look on vrbo.com and homeaway.com for private rentals. We've had good luck with dog friendly rentals that way.

Blue Fin Bay accepts dogs in some of their rentals and it's really nic, some have kitchens etc. But it is also up near Grand Marais, and may be more than you want to spend.
Good luck!
