we did it
we booked a flight for a family trip. i couldn't believe how freakin' expensive it was, especially because we're not flying on a saturday or sunday and not during a school holiday. we paid extra on jet blue for the first row/bulk head seats so the kids would have more room - hope we didn't totally waste $240 for that "upgrade"
and now we need to figure out hotel, suite or condo rental and a minivan.
anyone else travel with kids? is it possible to get a week of luggage plus a stroller in a full size car, or do we need to pay for the minivan?
this is way too much $ to be going to florida and not even to disney! lol!

Actually, had an aweswome Jetblue experience 3 weekes ago with Kaylee. I didn't do anything crazy, few from Westchester to Fort Myers, FL. We just got a regular seat. I ordered the CARES harness (look into it if you haven't, its amazing!) so I didn't have to lug my carseat on the plane, and checked her car seat with luggage for free. I couldn't believe it. Also, on the way down there they did snacks and drinks plus they have TVs in the head of the seats.....all in all, it was my top flying experience ever. I hope you have a blast
I second the minivan or SUV. My parents (who we met in flordia because they flew in the day before) just had a sedan and it was ok for the 4 adults and K, but if we ALL had our luggage it would have been a mess. We went to my parents condo, but they are probably expensive over the winter because its prime time.
I hope you had a great trip, I think we paid 200 for each ticket which wasnt bad.
