I don't know if you worked on trying to recover those pictures, but I just picked up my corrupted memory card from a camera store in Wisconsin and they were able to recover quite a few of the pictures I lost, so you if you haven't already, you might want to call around and see if there is a camera store that has some sort of recovery program they could try.
I am a little bummed about the number of pictures recovered, but I'm missing ones that I don't remember what they are, so maybe that's the best. I did get many of my Boston and Maine pictures back, so I'm happy about that.
It only cost me $30.
I hope you can get the baptism pictures recovered.
