Re: Baby Shower Help
Gift Bingo- people fill in their own bingo cards with what gifts they think the new mom will get and then cross them out as the mom opens them. BINGO when they get 5 in a row... just like regular bingo
Don't say "insert word here" and use clothes pins or a baby charm on a string around neck, if someone hears the word said, they get the clothes pin or necklace from that person. Winner has most clothespin/necklaces at end.
Everyone gets a NUMBER then hide 1-5 of those numbers in gifts. At different times the numbers will come up, the person whose number it is gets a prize, the person who bought the gift gets a prize.
Games that give out prizes at a later time (like DD giftcard). Predict weight, birthday, gender. Like football pool
buy a bunch of plain white onesies or bibs and fabric markers...
set up a clothes line..
have all guests decorate a bib/onsie for the baby - however they like...
some will do funny, cute, etc and display on clothes line
Those are all cute ideas, I like the hiding the numbers in gifts thing.
I have to say, I was ready to take people out during the measure my belly game. just saying!
they did this at my bridal and baby showers- for whatever reason it's a hit with some people. and i agree the measure my belly game is annoying. as if you want people specualting how large you are when you're pregnant. i definitely think you need to have some sort of game during the gifts or people wont pay attention at all. i think at my baby shower they just set a timer randomly and if it went off when your present was being opened you won a prize. also, at my friends shower, we just randomly slipped lotto tickets into some of the gifts. and when the gift was opened the gift giver got the ticket- people liked that. of course someone won $50 and felt compelled to give it to the mommy-to-be.
