Drapes question

These drapes are pretty spot on for what I'd like for my living room--problem is, I need double width in them and they of course only come in single. With this pattern, would having two single panels sewn together eff up the fabric pattern? Or would it flow together ok since is kinda busy? Anyone know? I also like the peacock drapes, but I know those would have to match up pretty perfectly if I were to sew them together and it's not going to happen. Here are the drapes:

Re: Drapes question

  • I think if you were going to sew either of the curtains together you would want to match up the patterns.
  • Damn. Lol! Sooo...now I go pick out fabric I guess!! :( thanks!

  • I totally think you are capable of matching the patterns together! Lots and lots of pins!
  • The pattern is extremely consistent and would be easy to match.  I would buy them and have a seamstress do it for you unless you have a really great sewing machine and a ton of patience.

  • First off those curtains are gorgeous! secondly have you liked at and interior fabric places or hobby lobby at the upholstery fabric to see if you like anything there that you could have custom made? Thirdly if you have your heart set on the PB curtains get them and have a seamstress see them together for you.
