today i took my ring to get its twice yearly inspection. i have two bar set bands as my wedding set. the e-ring, the larger of the two rings, was bought at a different store. it doesnt have a warranty. every other time i have brought it in to the store where we bought the wedding band to get the inspection for the wedding band, there has been a stone loose on the e ring. since the e ring is not covered i have to pay to get it tightened and polished because i guess whenever they work on a ring they have to polish it too. this time i brought it in i was thinking oh great if a stone is loose i dont know if i will get it fixed because i really don't want to spend the money (it's been around a $100 a year up to now spent on tightening and polishing). sure enough, there was one loose. i asked how much it would be to fix it and the lady said actually now that they are soldered it's COVERED. woo hoo! i am psyched! she was like that's a little known benefit to soldering. i wish i didn't have a ring that was such a pain (bar set apparently is notorious for this) but at least i don't have to keep paying to fix it! i feel like i never catch a break like this. watch next time i go in it will be a different person who says something different. i'll be so mad! oh well at least i know they got this one!

Re: yay my ring!
i don't want to lose the warranty by not getting it inspected since we paid extra for it.
Gotcha!
jared, the store where we bought it, has a warranty where if you take your ring in every six months and get it inspected they will replace any chipped or lost stones free of charge.
