Anyone ever?...re: Spa days
Has anyone ever done a couples spa day, or half day?
If so, where? I am looking for recommendations. I have been googling around already but am interested in hearing some reviews or tips. I am so frugal and this is probably going to drive me nuts spending this kind of money, so if anyone had super outstanding service for super cheap I would LOVE those reviews especially
What kind of prices are reasonable? Outrageous?
Thanks in advance!!
Re: Anyone ever?...re: Spa days
Some of my friends have raved about the Couples Massage at Estetica in St. Paul. I'm pretty sure they're expensive.
I know my husband would hate every single minute of anything couples-spa related so I'd never even try to get him to do it.
My Cooking Blog
We have done a variety of massage for two/spa day for two/half-spa day for two at:
- The Salon For You in St. Paul
- Phresh Spa Salon in St. Paul
- Simonson's in Plymouth and Andover (Anoka)
The prices can vary greatly depending on the services you purchase (and I see now that The Salon For You has added a 25% svc chg for couples, so I would skip them with that). Another option to consider would be the Aveda Institute. While you wouldn't be in the same room for the massages, you can do pedicures/manicures next to each other.
We have had great service at all locations but Simonson's made us feel most comfortable. I always make sure that DH has a female massage therapist when I book the appointments.
I've got a spa day booked for myself and my college roommates at Just for Me in Stillwater. Two of us are getting the Spa Journey which is $265 for 4.5 hours (lunch, massage, wrap and facial) and two of us are getting the Time for Tranquility which is $180 for 3 hours (massage and facial). I've never done a spa day like this and I have my fingers crossed and am hoping for the best... I will try to remember to come back and post a review after we go!
Thanks everyone for your responses. I will be interested to hear your review of this place, Just for Me. When is your spa day there? I hope you enjoy it!!
