it pains me to say this b/c i love ryan gosling and i had high hopes for this movie, but...i wasn't a fan. i didn't hate it, but i thought it was mediocre.
the kid who played steve carrell's son was super annoying. his story line was unfunny, strange, and mildly inappropriate.
i couldn't believe the babysitter gave her nude pictures to the kid/son! was that supposed to be funny/cute? it wasn't.
also, why was steve carrell's character made out to be the bad guy for his attempts to move on? ummmmmm, the wife was the one who cheated on him and requested a divorce!
all that said, ryan looked fantastic, so it was still sort of worth watching ![]()
Re: Crazy, Stupid, Love *spoiler*
All this.
I had mixed feelings about the movie. The son WAS super annoying, and the babysitter storyline was disturbing and inappropriate. She was essentially circulating child porn, awesome.
however as a whole I enjoyed the movie and found the other storylines funny and enjoyable.

I totally agree. I was sooo excited to go see this in the theater...and while I enjoyed parts of it a lot & like the twist at the end, I was sort of disappointed overall. I think the story line with the son ruined it for me. I cringed every time he was on screen and just wanted them to get back to Steve, Ryan and/or Emma.
I'm not usually a fan of Ryan Gosling...I know I'm in the minority but I usually don't find him all that attractive. Oddly, even though he was a smarmy player for much of this movie, I actually kind of "got" the attraction to him for once.
how funny, although i thought ryan was hot in this movie, this may be my least favorite of his movies (i've seen most of them).
my attraction to ryan has little to do with the way he looks...i'm a big fan of his work and his personality (well, at least the personality he exuded during the interviews i've seen him do).
I just watched this movie yesterday. I was bothered for the girl's future with those naked pictures floating around... and the fact that the parent's clearly didn't address the issue properly. Yeah, I know it's a movie, but I couldn't laugh at it...
Other parts I found very amusing and overall I liked it, just, not the son's storyline.
I don't think Ryan Gosling is ever attractive. I just don't like him.
This. I loved the twist at the end.
