Old Magazines - what to do with them?
I have only about 5 million old magazines -- don't ask how that happened.
Anyway, I do enjoy flipping through each before it goes out.
I took about 15 to Half-Price books yesterday, an they reluctantely took them for $3 total, but said continuously they don't have space and no one buys old magazines.
Some I have a full year. Most are ladies mags, like Family circle, Better Homes, etc. DH had some trade mags that I took yesterday.
If my library does not take them for their sale, what's the next best thing you would do. with them? I have got to get them outta here.
Re: Old Magazines - what to do with them?
I recycle mine, but you could try the hospital, or sr. living places. Our daycare uses family magazines for projects.
I recycle them...
I had a really hard time donating mine. I called Nursing Homes, Hospitals etc Nobody wanted them. I was really surprised.
I read them and pull out what I want to keep before throwing them in the recycle bin.
I have a few file folders to keep the pages organized.. recipes, decorating, organizing, gifts, etc.
Eventually all of the pages will be scanned and filed on the computer.
Take them to your dr/dentist's office next time you go and leave them in the rack.
Definitly try preschool's, daycare's, or donate them to shelters. Schools always use them for projects
