AW: Softie Russian dolls

I sewed my first toys!  They're babushka matryoshka softie dolls (a pattern from this person.) I didn't embellish them heavily since I was mainly just trying out the pattern. I thought DD would totally grab them, but it turns out, DS has incorporated them already into his vast collection of "babies" (mainly a stuffed rhino and monster. lol!)

  • Too cute!

Makes me wish that I had someone to make them for....sort of. ;)

  • I love how the nest in pockets!  So cute (and I am obsessed with Matryoshka dolls, so this pattern looks like fun!)

  • Thanks everyone!

To WishesSheCouldCook - they didn't take that long to make at all.  Once I had everything cut out it was super fast.  The faces took a little while but maybe an hour to and hour and half to attach the "hair" and embroider them, so not a long time.  I think from start to finish (cut out fabric to stuffing), it's about a 4 hour project.

  • Oh, how fun! I've never seen anything like that before, but I love it! That would be a perfect Christmas gift for my cousin's baby girl. She just turned one and they adopted her from Russia this fall. Thanks for sharing!
