? For those who have read Breaking Dawn

I've seen all over the nest the reference that Edward bites or eats or whatever Bella's uterus/stomach to help remove the baby. I don't remember this at all. Did I block this horrible idea out or is this joke?

  • I've only read BD once and I don't remember it being THAT graphic.

I'm very excited for the movie even though it will probably piss me off.

  • Well aren't we an observant bunch.

  • I find that most people don't actually realize what happened in that scene. They get so traumatized from the legend part that says the babies tear themselves out of the womb that when you get to the birth scene you're kind of mentally like, LALALALAALALALALALA when does he turn her into a vampire?! and then it's over. We had a big discussion on GP about this a while back and seriously like 80% of the people that read BD didn't realize it was Edward that delivered the baby.

It completely freaks me out that I did not notice this.  I have to admit, Im almost embarrassed by my Twilight series infatuation.  While I read the books, I was so in love with all of the characters and the story that I just glazed over how effed up some of the relationships are.  I still love the series and the movies, but I'm not as diehard as I used to be.

  • I'll admit I was totally a 13 year old girl when I read Twilight. I felt like I was a depressed teenager when I read New Moon. Eclipse was a bit blurry, I remember less from that book. I've only read Breaking Dawn once and I was speed reading so I don't remember as many details - like the birthing scene.

This is pretty true. I felt like I was in a perpetual state of "WTF is going on?!" when I read it that I missed a lot of things my first time. I picked up a lot more when I read it a second time.
