DH and I were hoping to see a Turkmen wedding at some point while we were here and it turned out that our driver's brother was getting married in November. The driver told us maybe about a month and a half ago but I figured we'd be getting something more solid as it got closer to the date.
Yesterday DH wanted to call our office manager to get details as he thought it was yesterday, but I thought that if he wanted us to go he would have told us more exact details (day/time/location) and that we shouldn't invite ourselves.
We find out at work today that the wedding was great and they were waiting for us to call. No one from the office showed up and there was an empty table. Another girl at work, a Turkmen, also said that normally you get something more official, even if not a formal invite and was also waiting to hear more.
So it was just a miscommunication, but I feel bad that he had an empty table at the wedding and was waiting for us (everyone from work, not just me and DH). I'm sure it looked bad, even though they had like 400 people there. That was also our only chance to see a Turkmen wedding up close, as we just saw part of one in July randomly.
Oops.
Re: Feel bad for letting down a coworker
I agree with the above. Jetur, you posted some really shiity things, personal things that YOU had no right to share. You absolutely owe Snippy an apology, not that it would change anything though.
Obviously you get a kick out of the drama, why else would you continue posting here?

Or thick-skinned! I haven't been able to post over the weekend but can't believe she's still posting...
Perhaps we should just all block her and/or not post in reply to her posts... can she get banned or something?
