Professional dance?
This probably sounds weird but I am wondering if someone could help me. Every year for her birthday, I take my niece on an "experience." It revolves around her most current interest- last year she was a CSI addict, and loved crime-solving stuff, so I set up a tour with the Des Moines PD and she met some real-life CSI's and saw the lab, etc. This year she is 100% focused on dance- this is her 7th year in dance classes and she is taking 8 classes! She recently said she might want to be in dance when she grows up. I was thinking about trying to set up something where she meets a professional dancer- maybe a ballerina? Does anybody know where I could look for this?? I'm clueless! Thanks. Her birthday is in late December.

I know that University of Iowa has a VERY awesome dance program. I would check with them. http://dance.uiowa.edu/
