Where do you keep your hamper or dirty clothes.
DHs clothes sometimes smell a little and so does the room.
How often do you wash clothes?
Any tricks for keeping hamper not stinky?
Re: Stinky Hamper
I have a hamper/receptacle (not typical hampers LOL) in the master closet as well as in the shower room of our master bath. The kids have hampers in their closets of their bedrooms.
I don't have a problem with the hampers smelling. The only thing I can think of is to try to get the clothes out of there faster? And wiping it out and letting it air out every once in a while might help as well.
I wash clothes every day (4 person family). I'd rather do small loads more frequently, than large loads less frequently. Just what works for me.
If DH comes home with stinky clothes he either hangs them in the bathroom until they air out a bit, or I wash them straight away. We've never had a problem with hamper odor. I also clean my hamper really well a few times a month.
There are little baking soda discs that you can buy to neutralize odor, I know some people use them for their cloth diaper bags but you could certainly use one for your hamper!
