I voted fruit cake, but I know I am alone in my love for it.
Not icky store bought stuff with the neon maraschino cherries, but nice the homemade kind loaded with dried fruits (apricots, sultanas, currants, pineapple, dates, etc) and spices and stuff. Those are lovely and really say Christmas to me.
I'm voting cookies as well!! Easy to make, toddler friendly, and I think they would transport well (if that's a concern)!
Plus there's nothing that says Christmas to me like a cookie tray! My mom and aunt take a weekend every year and bake tons of cookies for Xmas. It's the best!

It exists but it's not quite the same but close. It has almond paste in the middle but the rest of it tastes just like stollen. I love almond paste so it's not an issue, especially here!
