I'm still on vacation back home and tonight we were going to meet up with a whole big group of friends for dinner and drinks (some of them haven't ever even met FH yet.
I was sooooooooo looking forward to that.
Now 1 couple couldn't find a babysitter (but that's okay, we spent the whole day with them and their adorable kids yesterday), and 2 others have been called into work, so that means 3 couples can't make it, plus 1 of those couples was supposed to bring another couple, so instead of seeing 9 friends, I'll be seeing 1.
Stupid work!
Still looking forward to seeing my 1 friend though, haven't seen her in 3 years, so please send vibes that she doesn't have a crappy boss who wants her at work too!

Re: Stupid other people's work! (mini vent)
The one friend is completely free, jay! Just got confirmation. And we're trying to reach one other friend to see if we make it a later dinner he'll be able to make it after all.

<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DThat is a big boo! But I must say that you have a fabulous attitude. Hope you had fun!
Haha, in the end the one friend who could make it called up some other friends (knowing that we are free Tuesday night as well) and we rescheduled for Tuesday. And since Tuesday is a normal workday for all of them, there's no chance of being called in for an extra shift :-)
So we went to the movies (Puss in boots) and got Mexican food (yummmm) and still had a fun night together.
I've long ago taught myself to have a good attitude about this kinda stuff and not to let it bother me when I don't see people. The people who really care about me, will make it work in some way (heck, those are the ones who've tried to (or have actually) visit me in NL.) All the others, well, they're fun to see, but if they can't find a way to make time for me, apparently I'm not all that important to them, in which case, I shouldn't mind too much and just make sure I still have a fabulous vacation without them.
