School Vent
I didn't think that I would ever write something like this, because I don't like people talking negatively about professors. I just usually figure they are there for a reason and try adapt to their style of teaching...
... But this politics professor of mine is making me crazy. We just got our midterm results back. It was taken in two parts, one part was a regular mulitple choice test, that was done during class time. The other was a take home paper listing the people who represent you in the House and Senate, as well as state house and senate. Easy.
I spent three hours on that part, as per his instructions, only to have a effing ZERO?!?! His reasoning? I apparently didn't turn it in, which is BS because he saw me hand it to him. And this isn't the first time that this professor has done this to me on a test before. I know that I got at least a B according to his rubric. WTF?!?! I sent him an email and I am prepared to fight it, but this is getting riddiculous. It is bad enough he is absent minded during class, but he needs to pay better attention when grading. How does this happen more than once in a semester? How?
I just feel like complaining right now, and he is an easy target. Jerkface.

Yeah this. There is no reason that he should be losing your papers, multiple times mind you, and then docking your grade for his lack of organization. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
I emailed him and if he decides to not work with me, I will be going to the department head. I want the grade I worked hard for.
I know the advisor for the Political Science department and he's just as useless but definitely start there and take it as far as possible.
Who was the professor? Guy in his later 50's early 60's? Grey hair?

Just turned 60. Grey hair and loves to talk about himself and his work with the NJ Transportation Department. I am fairly certain you know who I am talking about, if you took Intro to Politics.

It is sad. Dr. Ayubi is awesome...I took every single one of her classes and her life experiences are incredibly interesting AND relevant to the classes she teaches. The department head is worthless and doesn't give a damn about the night program (which I was in) and that's how you end up with chuckle heads like Prof. F. Although I'll know figure out how he weaseled his way into teaching some day classes.
