good monday morning!

zomg...crazy/busy life starts today. have i mentioned how crazy my life is over the next few weeks? this week i have misc tasks/errands/chores to do before i leave for vegas on friday. i get back late sunday night, and then i get home to do laundry, and then leave for mexico on wednesday. when i get back i have a few days of solace before i have a weekend of holiday parties. then the next weekend is h and i's annual holiday party and i'm giving myself a week to prpare for it. then the next week, a friend of mine from california is visiting, and then a few days after he leaves, h's sister gets back from china, and the same day, we're going down to california for the week. the week that we get back is my baby shower..then after that it will just be full-on setting things up for baby..... and then...BABY! omg. i'm so stressed/exhausted just *thinking* about what's going to be happening throughout the next few weeks.

but enough of that, i had a good, restful weekend. on sat we took a class at the hospital for first-time parents, and it was very informative and i'm glad we did it. yesterday was a good day of rest with friends coming over for dinner in the evening.

have a great week! ready, set, go!

Yikes Jennlin---I want to go back to bed after reading that post. I'm sure it will fly by in a flash. What sort of things did you learn at the class?

the class covered things like what types of baby carriers are available, what normal skin rashes are, what your baby looks like when it's born (cone headed, flakey skin, covered in gunk, etc), how to bathe baby, how to diaper, how to swaddle, how to BF. i think it was worth it. it's at evergreen in kirkland, and since you're on bainbridge, i doubt you'll want to deliver there, but i'm pretty sure you can take the class anyways, if your hospital doesn't offer something like it.

    yay for first dr appointment!

  • Wow, Jenn, that's too much to do! My life is so quiet in comparison. Have a good first appointment Britt!

My weekend was pretty good. I met up with an old friend Saturday and I just need to get out more and do that more often. Sunday I went shopping to check out the Nordstrom half yearly sale and to check out Ann Taylor Loft friends and family sale. It was a bit frustrating trying to find clothes that fit.

I'm completely unmotivated at work. I have an important meeting this afternoon that I think will go ok. Not sure what else I need to get done today.

  • I had a the most boring weekend at home ever.  But I did bring out my craft box and restarted a quilting project (pillow) that i started oh 3 years ago. The grey of this weekend really got to me and I just wanted to close the curtains and not look at any of it.

I am headed to Portland today till Thrusday for a conference. LOVE the perks of my new position :)

  • Good morning!

I had a pretty good weekend... wine date w/ H on Friday night, day trip to Leavenworth on Saturday, and a very lazy Sunday. I helped with the kindergarten kids at church this weekend and um... holy birth control! Those five year olds think they know everything. I may or may not have napped/played angry birds on the couch most of the afternoon after that. We also put in a new shower head, one of those "rain" ones. It's amazing.

Not too much going on today, just a long day at work. Have a good Monday all!

  • Happy Monday!!

Jeeeeze, Jennlin, your life sounds about as hectic as mine. :) I'm impressed, lol; most people look at my calendar and think I'm insane!

Today: Picking up a friend from the airport at 12.30ish, lunch with her, weekly business meeting thing tonight

Tmw: Taking DH to the dentist and then to work, childbirth class continues every Tues to the 6th of Dec

Weds: Lunch with a friend out in Kirkland then biweekly anime night

Thurs: Prenatal appt (woo, a day mostly free!)

Fri/Sat: Write-ins hosted here at the house, plus DH is playing a curling spiel all weekend

    Sun: Going over to a friend's for a movie-day

Next week: Pretty similar. Business meeting, childbirth class, Thanksgiving (which we're hosting and I need to prep and organize things for), more write-ins, and we want to buy a car...

Week after: Business meeting, childbirth class, anime, prenatal...

December: Various and sundry things in the first half of the month; second half of the month, we're spending a week with my ILs and a week in Hawaii (woohoo!)

Weekend after we get back from Hawaii: baby shower

And then we'll be a month out from our EDD and in serious baby-prep mode! Crazy.

  • Happy monday!

This weekend was crazy for me! I acted like I was young again and drank way too much and pretty much don't remember how I got home.. won't be doing that again. I kinda feel ridiculous for doing it. I've been drunk probably less than 15 times in my life and I feel so silly for acting like that.. I was ill at work yesterday and today I'm still not feeling that well but I'm a little better.. yuck.

Anyway, work is going to be busy.

Jenn- you are going to have the BEST time on vacay!! Can't wait to see your preg belly in a bikini or bathingsuit. lol. you're going to be adorable!

  • Good morning!  It was a sad college football weekend, but at least the Seahawks won!!!!!  That was a huge surprise.

I think I will schedule a hair appointment this weekend, my hair is SO long and I really need a color.  It is straight up pathetic how many gray/white hairs I have on my 26 year old head Crying

  • Jenn - slow down!

My next few weeks are similar - I'm swamped at work, fly out to Vegas on Thurs. for a friends 40th birthday. My liver hurts just thinking about it.  Get back and only have 3 work days next week and my parents fly in for Thanksgiving. I suppose I should start thinking of a menu since we're doing a non-traditional Thanksgiving. After I send them off my little brother and his wife come to town Thurs - Sun and we're taking them to the Seahawks game.

Not to mention work stuff - but I don't want to think about that right now.

  • You pg ladies need to slow down... You are making the rest of us look bad!

I am getting ready to head back to work - I am part time this week and then am scheduled to go back to my normal 10 hour days. I am a bit nervous about all that walking but it will be nice to have a routine again (and a paycheck!)

We had my Mom's surprise party Saturday and it was fabulous! I was happy with how the room turned out - I just got a bunch of flowers, candles, and pictures. The food was wonderful and the staff at Tulio couldn't have been better.

The rest of the weekend I spent lying down feeling like a slug because this cold will not go away!

  • Good Morning!

We had a good weekend.  Tillman and I had a blast just the two of us on Friday.  We went to our favorite doughnut shop, then went and bought one of Tman's Christmas gifts for James and streamers and balloons and stuff to make a flag.  We came home and painted a flag and put balloons and streamers up all over the place.  Then, I sent Tman to his room while I converted the whole dining room into a giant fort for him.  I put pillows and blankets in it and put on a movie and gave him popcorn while I baked brownies.  It was awesome!

Saturday, we did some driving around and a little shopping and in the evening had dinner at the Space Needle with my dad to celebrate mine and James's birthdays while keeping Tman entertained.

Yesterday was church and James took Tman to get me something for my birthday. :)

Today, I'm back to the grind of my routine, but since my birthday is this week, I have decided to not starve myself to death this week.  I'm not going to pig out, but I figure it's the holidays and if I don't treat myself occasionally, I'm doing myself a disservice.

  • Spent Saturday doing mostly things for other people: driving all over trying to find Emerald Downs to bring my coworker her phone (she left it at work on Tuesday and then was sick the rest of the week). The official address put my GPS in the back side of the stupid place, so it took an extra 30-45 minutes trying to figure out how to get there (I've never been before, and the signs once you get off 167 are less than easy to follow since they're missing on half the turns). Then I spent the afternoon at my uncle's helping family clean out his place (he's moved to assisted living).

Sunday H and I went to Michael's and Joann's where I unsuccessfully looked for bonding primer to paint my bookshelf. But I *DID* score a black wreath for $0.39 (90% off, lol!) to make a Halloween wreath next year. Went to the hardware store to get the primer (boo not getting to use a coupon). Then got home and raked up Leafapoclypse 2011 in our yard. My triceps are SO sore today! As are weird muscles in my back. I cleaned the kitchen and made dinner while H went and got leaf bags and filled them. 10 bags and only 1/3 of the leaves collected!! UGH. We plan to make a pile out of some to compost over the winter into leaf mold, but we still have way. too. much.
