Preserving My Wedding Dress

Hello Ladies!

I just got married 2 weeks ago and am now beginning the 10 steps that TN recommends right after you get married.

I want to preserve my gown and was wondering if any of you knew any good places that do professional work on preserving wedding gowns?

I live in Auburn Hills and am looking for something within 30 miles of there.

 Thank you!

Re: Preserving My Wedding Dress

  • I used WedClean.com. It was super convenient and they did a great job. If you don't feel comfortable with that there is always Earl Cleaners in Clawson they are a hidden gem and a couple nesties have had wonderful success with them and they were a great price.

  • I used Affordable Preservation Co -- very similar to WedClean.  They send you materials to ship your dress to them, then they clean and ship it back to you.  I thought they did a great job.  http://www.affordablepreservation.com/index.html

I used them too.  Got it back within about a month.  It all looks good from the outside of the box.

  • I used Tracy from Your the Bride.  She could probably meet her somewhere as well, she's very friendly.  You just give her the dress & she does the rest & it's sent back to your address.  MrsRenee also used her.

  • How much did everyone pay to preserve their dresses?

I am a little nervous sending it out to a company, but I am definitely open to different options.  I just do not know what a good price is to begin with.

  • Mine was about $150ish I want to say?  Whatever the price is on the website listed above, that's what I paid.

I wasn't all that nervous because they company had good reviews by other brides.  I figure they have just as much chance at mucking it up that a local place does.  The UPS part is insured so I wasn't worried.
