Popping in...with a baby
Just an update that little ZJM was born on Monday, 11/7 at 3:19 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz, 21 inches long. He came out with tons of hair and was "sunny side up" which the doc and nurse told me meant I pushed out the equivalent of a 9 lb-er.
If anyone's interested in his birth story, I'll post it but the rumors are true. In fact I taught my last spin class at 5:45 a.m. that morning, not realizing I was probably in labor. Not sure I'd have it any other way though! I cannot say enough about the nurses at Abington in the delivery room - I swear that kid would still be inside if not for one of them.
I'll be back later - right now we're trying to adjust to him, my soreness everywhere, etc. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions for all the seasoned mommies.
Hope all the other newborns and babies-to-be are doing well.

Congratulations! I'm glad everything seemed to go well. I agree with you that Abington is fabulous. 9.5 years later I still remember what my L&D nurse looked like and certain things she said while I was in labor with my son at 19. She was so amazing and talked me step by step through everything. I really loved it there and I'm glad you had a great experience with your nurses.
