    star pizza :)

Star pizza on washington has an all you can eat pizza lunch buffet too!!

  • I liked Star Pizza the last time I was there - like 15 yrs ago.

Wasn't there some place like grimaldi's that was opening up in houston - some national chain that is phenomenal?

Also Center Court has a Missouri City location at Hwy 6 and the entrance to Sienna Plantation.  Just sharing in case it's closer. =D

There's a Grimaldi's on the Waterway at the Woodlands.  I haven't been yet, but I hear it's amazing (and pricey).

So does the one on Shephard and 59... and their homemade bacon bits for their salad bar are SUPER YUMMY!

Really? I'm glad to hear this. They're opening near us on N. Shepherd and I have high hopes that it is better than Pinks. Maybe Pinks is good for eating in, but I did NOT like the one we ordered to go.

Star is my favorite. We used to pick up from there  but now we're outside of the delivery area.

GRIMALDI'S IS AMAZING!!! There's one in Sugarland as well.
  • Luigi's - Very good pizza and they deliver to my house which is even better

Star - I usually get their deep dish

Ponzo - Their pizza is ok but not as good as Luigi's

Dolce Vita - great speciality pizza

I grew up in Binghamton, so much more down state than your Mom - she was almost in Canada! :)

  • Romano's, hands down. My Brooklyn-born-and-raised DH loves it.

  • Too late to be relevant, and not NY style, but my favorite pizza inside the loop is Bombay Pizza. Best crust ever. They have both standard and Indian-influenced pizza. It is downtown, so a little bit of a pain to get to when driving during the week, but it gets bonus points for being on the rail line.

I agree with the Romano's suggestions for NY style.  I like Star, but it isn't where I would go if I want NY style. Frank's is also great.

  • mmmm star pizza!

my favorite pizza on earth is from a mom & pop place in Webster called Angelo's.

I was horribly sad that they closed down the one in Greenspoint Mall.  It's the original and was by far the best (but maybe the people who ran it are the ones opening on N Shepherd... I saw that the other day and was SO excited for my ILs. LOL ) I went to school with the family that owns the restaurants... They are an awesome group of people.

    Can't wait to try Romano's!

We're big fans of Star Pizza and Dolce Vita. We've been to Grimaldi's in Sugar Land a few times.

Has anyone tried Coal Vines? They just built one at 59 & 6 that we haven't tried.

It is actually not that pricey especially since their small easily feeds 2, that is one of me and DH's favorite places

Ditto NYP. About as authentic as you can get in Houston. The other is Romanos on W Gray. Goooooood!
