oven mitts

I am thinking of asking for a new oven mitt for the holidays. Has anyone used this one?

it gets good reviews

FWIW, I don't cook or bake much but our mitt is getting old (it's cloth) and the heat comes through

Re: oven mitts

  • I haven't used that one, but I have a similar silicone mitt that I like.

  • I have oven mitts that are cloth on the back and silicone on the front, and I love them.  They were from Target.  I don't think they were terribly expensive either, and you can wash them in the washing machine if they get dirty.

  • I bought some at Kohl's this summer that open like a muppets mouth ( for lack of a better comparison) and are silicone lined in the "mouth" area.  I like them and Kohl's always has sales.  This sounds silly, but I would go to a store and try them out simply because they are making them so think and heavy these days and they can be awkward.
