How was everyone's weekend? who has a case of the Mondays?
April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination

Re: Happy Monday!
Oh, I do!!!! After a week off, Mondays are even more difficult!!
I had a great weekend though...
Friday night, DH went to a comedy show with a friend, and I went to go visit my girlfriend who was home from being hospitalized. I spent a couple of hours with her to cheer her up. They think she had diverticulitis, poor thing!
Saturday, we went to our niece's 5th bday party (which was all kinds of loud and rambunctious). Then we went to visit our newborn niece who is about a week old!! What a fun day! I put pics on FB if you want to see the new baby. She's SO cute!
Sunday, we just did our usual, cleaning, raking leaves, I made crepes for breakfast and pasta e fagioli for dinner. It was a great, relaxing Sunday!
Have a good day everyone!
Friday I had my doctor's appointment for RA. Well, they really couldn't do too much since I am pregnant right now. He went over all of my history, moved all of my joints around, and went over lab results with me. I think they usually do x-rays, but since they can't do anything like that right now, he said we are just going to keep an eye on it. He even said that any indicators that say if I had specifically RA or Lupus or anything all came back negative. So he is just calling it arthritis for right now. He said I have great range of motion with everything, so that's good (but he did feel a lot of "clicks" in many of my joints). He also said with my IBS problems, I might have to have a colonoscopy after I'm done with the pregnancy...eeks!!
After my appointment I went to Kohls and LOADED up! Hahaha! I got all kinds of stuff from the Food Network section, but a lot of the stuff I really did need. I also got Jeff's two bigger Christmas presents (a nice husker coat and a new pair of black dockers loafers! : ) All I have left for him is stocking stuffers!
Saturday was football, then Jeff and I went out for dinner, then helped my dad bring his deer to town (since they don't have a truck right now). Sunday was more football (and MORE embarrassment from the Lions - UGH).
Today I have an eye appt and then my first prenatal. I am pretty much in a constant inner battle with myself, from trying to stay positive against all my innateness to be negative! Ugh. I just really, REALLY want to see a healthy little blueberry in there!!!!
My weekend was all around pretty crappy.
Friday my girlfriend (who lost her mom in March) told me she is really struggling with Christmas this year and just doesn't care. She told me she had to leave the mall one day because she started crying.
Saturday, DH was gone almost all day on a delivery for work. I had to wait around all day for Fed Ex to show up, and he didn't come until 2:30ish. So, I couldn't do my errands until after that.
Sunday, my mom called me before church to tell me that my cousin was not doing well. We were supposed to clean yesterday since we have people coming over Saturday for dinner, but didn't. Then, when I tried to make dinner, our stupid rotisserie broke.
The icing on the cake is that my mom called me at 7 am this morning to tell me my cousin lost his battle with cancer thru the night.
The highlight of the weekend was getting to skype with my little niece and nephew Sunday afternoon. We got to watch him open his birthday presents, which was nice.
My weekend was lots of fun and I am struggling to be at work right now.
I had Friday off, so drove to Yorktown to have tea with my mom and look for fabric for my glider rocker. Then I spent some time with both my parents before driving back home.
Saturday DH and I did nothing all day and it was fantastic. We played the new Lego Harry Potter Wii game all day and didn't even change out of pjs. It was so nice to have nothing to get done.
Sunday we ran errands and cleaned.
Whew it was quite the weekend! We moved to our new (bigger!) apartment on Saturday and my FIL, SIL, and BIL came to help! I'm still surrounded by boxes and borrowing internet from the neighbors, but I don't have to work until Thursday! Its the best decision I've made in a while to take a week off to move since I have big school projects going on simultaneously!
I did however carve out 3 hrs last night to watch the Pats/Jets game and wooohooo what a game! It seems as if our defense may be beginning to snap out of it, and its about time!
DH & I at the Light Festival
I definately do...especially after having off on Friday! I actually had a pretty busy weekend and now I just want to sleep lol.
Friday: My mom came over since we were both off and helped me do some packing, then we went for lunch and went rug shopping. I bought a pretty area rug for our living room...still need one for the dining room. Friday evening we went to a SIDS benefit that someone DH works with organized.
Saturday: Went for lunch with a friend, did some running around and went to a family reunion/dinner.
Sunday: Went to our favorite breakfast spot one last time (when we move, it'll be kinda far, so we won't go there), went to a jewelry party/open house with my mom, did some running around and then relaxed for the evening.
I'm getting ready to leave work shortly....I have my follow up appt with the RE at 2:30 to get my test results and plan our plan of action to treat the PCOS....I'm looking forward to it!

Hello ladies!
Weekend was pretty good... had ZERO shoots! WOW CRAZY!
Friday night we went out to a suprise 30th party... Saturday I hit the gym, then got breakfast then edited most of the day before heading out for some bowling (I came in second!!! lol I was so pissed!)... Sunday was a looong day as we awaited the 830 pats game... breakfast again, then lil house/yard work, then lots of MW3 : ) THEN FINALLY watched the Pats beat the crap outta the Jets! Thank god! LOL
Have a good week!

My weekend was pretty good! I don't think I did anything special Friday night, I can't remember lol. On Saturday DH and I headed to the suburbs to look at apartments. We found one that we both love!!! Two bedrooms plus den, 2 1/2 bath, 2 car garage, a huge deck, walk in closets and community gym and pool for $700 less than our 2 bedroom in Hoboken. Awesome!! The only issue is that it's too early for them to know which units will be available in the time frame we're looking to move (January or February), although they have a couple units in that floorplan that they think will be opening up.
True story: as we're driving around I was trying to convince DH that the suburbs is not the "sticks" and then we pass by a woman riding a horse along the road. Whoops!
Yesterday I relaxed and watched some football, then met up with a friend for dinner.
Me!!!
I have had a serious case of the Monday blues all friggin day! My Ravens lost a stupid game that we in no way should have lost...and I'm getting waaaayy over the long hours I'm working. It's now 4:36pm and I've had a pickle and a cookie thus far. Grumble.
But on a happier note, the actual weekend was very nice :-) Got to catch up on some me time, take some photos and publish a few to my blog! All told, it was a pretty nice weekend indeed
I do too....but the day flew by!
Weekend was good. Saturday I skipped the gym to get some shopping done. I visited with my friend for awhile then took Amanda to the Aveda salon by our house for her belated birthday spa day. Afterwards we went to dinner at a BBQ place in Trenton and went over my cousin's house to visit/go in the hot tub.
Sunday after breakfast I took Amanda shopping to her favorite strip mall and got all her big Christmas stuff out of the way. Since she's at the age where she's hard to buy for (too old for toys, too young for adult stuff) we decided to let her pick out her gifts then I'll wrap them all. 90% of her "budget" from dad was bought at Old Navy. Now I'll just finish up a few more surprise things for her and her stocking stuffers on Black Friday.
Mom & cousin came over for dinner last night; Mike made venison burgers courtesy of 2 lbs given to him by a customer. Deeee-lish! Unfortunately the Lions embarrassed themselves, but at least Michigan and MSU came out victorious on Saturday!
I was trying to post to this several times today but my explorer window kept inadvertently closing on my phone and I lost it too many times I gave up.
@ Julie- I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin and yes cancer does suck! Sending lots of T&Ps to you and your family for your loss.
@Danie- I hope your appointment went well today for your blueberry! I hope you stop by soon to tell us how it went!
I totally have a case of the Mondays! It was SOOO friggin slow and boring today, I spent the time doing stuff completely non work related all morning since I was alone. The afternoon was a little better but still not a lot to keep me going. Thank goodness the work day is done and I can focus on other stuff!
My weekend was ok, nothing spectacular happened. Got a chiropractic adjustment and visited my dad and grandma for a little bit on Saturday.
