So I'm in the "getting up all hours and multiple times during the night to pee" stage of pregnancy. Usually, I navigate the bed to bathroom route pretty well half asleep in the pitch black.
Picture 3 am, I just got back to sleep a half hour ago and my angry bladder forces me awake AGAIN. It takes 3 and a half minutes to get my fata$$ out of bed, groaning and creaking like an old man and both dog and husband growl at me for waking them up again. I stumble to the bathroom and b*tch under my breath to dog, husband and bladder for being such douches when I run smack into the door frame. HARD. Knocked me back a few steps hard.
I thought DH was going to hypervenilate trying not to laugh at me. Woke up this morning with a huge knot on my forehead and I'm pretty sure I'll have a black eye in a couple days.
I guess I need a night light.
Re: Lessons in middle of the night peeing
Depends? Your life may depend on it
Kidding, that sucks, nightlight time for sure!

ahhh such a fun stage of pregnancy huh? I agree with pp though - I'd get a night light as you'll be up a lot more in the night once baby arrives
Lol!
This is why I do the zombie walk to and from the bathroom with my arms straight out in front of me! Although I'm sure I will have some bumps and bruises in the next few months anyway.
Ouch!! You poor thing!
Can't remember if you can use it during pregnancy (so check before you use it!!!) but arnica should speed up any bruise recovery.
In fact, stock up on homeopathic arnica - it speeds up your postnatal recovery "down there"!
That's so miserable, Sheks. I remember feeling like I was up more using the bathroom than actually sleeping. I think I was getting up like 6 times a night. I ALWAYS ran into the end of the bed and H's dresser that was right next to the bathroom.
I'm not pregnant and I have to pee at night sometimes (well...I get up when it's still dark anyway from Nov to Mar) - so I just bought a nightlight that comes on automatically at dusk and turns off at daylight. I now no longer step on my dog - making him, H and me happier.
