I just keep asking myself, "why?" when I read her posts about her finances.
She needs to get a good financial advisor through Ameriprise or Metlife. Seriously, having a trained professional help her out with it all would be really beneficial.
Nothing about anything that she has posted has said "prefectionist" to me. I am a perfectionist (but I am working on it). Everything is someone else's fault and she has her class schedule (ZOMG!) I really have a tough time that she can't go to therapy on a test day. Are her tests 8 hours long?
That's a great idea. I'm going to look into this. I think sitting down with someone and discussing my financial goals will help. It's something new to try.
I've been with my current therapist for a little over a year now.
I'll look for therapists that specialize in what I'm dealing with; ie addiction, anxiety, abusive relationships, etc.
Or therapists that are covered under my Dad's EAP.
I'm making progress, slowly and steady wins the race.
I agree w/ the bolded. I didn't realize you had switched already, which was probably in your best interest. Although it wouldn't hurt to find someone who specializes in your needs, you will most likely get more out of your therapy sessions.
The appointment available is right smack in the middle of my class. I could plan on taking it (the appointment), but then I'd be rushed through my test and I'd rather not do that.
I'm going to speak with someone tomorrow after classes though, so hopefully that will help between now and 12/20. Tomorrow I'll be speaking with an "on-call" therapist but they don't have any intake appointments available that work for me until after finals.

Oh nice going imoan. If she shows up to CT, I'm blaming YOU! Although she wouldn't be able to afford to fly here anyway so you are probably safe.
I might actually go to CT this summer actually. (A summer road trip is being considered w/some friends) I'll be sure to look you both up.
