Dexter 11/13 *spoilers*

So glad he got rid of Brian at the end, although at parts Brian had me laughing. He just brought out a bad side in Dexter. I didn't want to start hating him. I still can't believe he had random sex with what looked like a 16 yr old at the gas station. I knew he wouldn't kill Jonah when I saw him choking him. I think Jonah will come back into his life again somehow. That kid is tortured now. I feel bad.

I was hoping Quinn and Deb would get back together. I thought they brought out the best in each other when they were together.

I really wish Travis would just go to the police and tell them everything and lead them to the Professor but that won't happen. I wonder if he plans on killing Travis' sister at some point.

  • I thought the same thing about the professor killing Travis sister.

did anyone else think the scene in the car with the gun was so bizarre? I don't get what the purpose of that was, It was so weird I thought it was a dream/ daydream. what was the need for the gun anyway? Dexter never uses a gun.

  • OMG that car scene with the gun was making me so mad at him. I hated Brian and couldn't wait to see Harry again. That scene reminded me of Natural Born Killers. It was so bizarre.

I almost see the stealing of the gun and the killing of the motel owner coming back to bite Dexter in the ass.

  • Yes, I agree with you all!!

The gun scene was SO weird!!!  I just wanted it to end.  Something from that trip is going to come back and bite him: the girl in the gas station, the gun, the motel owner.

And poor Jonah, I can't help but feel bad for him.

I'm nervous for Travis.  The professor is either going to hurt him or his sister (or make him hurt his sister?)  Like PP said, I really wish he would just go to police already.  But he can't do that because then Dexter can't kill the Professor...

  • Also, that's twice this season that Dexter has gone to kill and released the person.  There are 2 people out there that know the real him...

  • I kinda wish that Brian had stayed around a little longer...as much as Dexter talking to dead people (seriously, I am so sick of his dad) bugs me sometimes it felt really rushed to bring him back and then make him go away in such a short time.

I also think that the professor is going to go after the sister at some point.

This season is the first time that I have actually liked Deb.

Yes! I feel like he's been really "sloppy" this season, especially in last night's episode. I can't help but wonder if they're setting up for him to get caught in some way. He's just leaving so much of a trail.

  • I keep thinking the Professor isn't real...just a figment of Travis' imagination.  Not real in the sense he never existed, just not a part of Travis' life right now.  No one else seems to see him and even the girl that was let go, only talked about hearing the 'younger one', she never said she heard anyone else talk.

I'm not sure how I felt about this episode, I was so pumped up for it but feel a bit let down. Embarrassed

  • Gah-last night's episode was just HORRIBLE, imo. I hope it gets back on track asap. I'm a Dexter fanatic and this season is really starting to lose me, which I thought would never be possible. I forgave some of the sloppy writing and plotting flaws last season because I liked the whole Lumen concept and it was still heart pounding and compelling. So far this season is really dragging for me--I actually fell asleep during last night's episode, which is a first for me in 6 seasons of Dexter watching. I just re-watched it and was like seriously? WTF is this! It's all just too bizarre, too thematic and too slow for my liking.

I totally agree. I'm thinking the surveillance camera at the gas station? IDK--it was all just so random and strange. I actually *hope* something does come back to bite him or else it's just another dead-end plot line that goes nowhere. I had enough of that last season.

I agree with all of this!
