We constantly have stray kittens by our house and a new batch is just old enough to be running around. I have avoided calling animal control because I just cannot stomach the thought of them being put to sleep. Does anyone know any services that will help you catch the animal but is a "no kill" service? They are just too fast for my hobbly self to catch right now... We are willing to keep one and foster for awhile if needed. I have food/water and a towel out there for them to snuggle on.
Re: Stray kittens
We will adopt one if we can just catch them!
They keep reproducing every year - I feed them when it gets too cold, they just break my heart =(

I don't know how best to care for a litter of feral kittens, but there is some information below. I would think that feeding them/the mother would be good, and providing a weather-sheltered bed..
Then when they get older you can get them spayed/neutered. There are also places that loan out (with a fully refunded deposit) humane traps. You pick up the traps and set them, then take the cat in, they spay/neuter it (fee depends on organization and circumstances), then you take it home and release it when it is safe to do so. Then return the traps or reuse as needed.
