speaking of Christmas . . .
1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year?
2. What are you asking for?
3. What are you buying your SO?
Re: speaking of Christmas . . .
1. My parents and brother are coming to us in London to hopefully see their new grand daughter. They arrive xmas eve.
2. A kindle.
3. So far clothes. I have some other ideas, but not sure what exactly I'm doing yet.
1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year? We're staying here and I think it's just going to be the three of us for Christmas Eve and the morning of the 25th. Then we'll either visit Matt's parent's in the afternoon or on Boxing Day. I am thrilled!
2. What are you asking for? I already picked out my present and it's a new {to me} sideboard. It's so lovely, I can't wait to have it delivered!
3. What are you buying your SO? I have no idea as he's really hard to buy for. Probably some clothes, a new scarf or something and a game for his xbox. A bit boring really, I need some ideas!
1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year? At ours with our mums.
2. What are you asking for? My default of books & bath products. But I always enjoy surprises from H.
3. What are you buying your SO? Some books/dvds and some sort of clothing item - he has been meaning to get some new shirts. Oh and socks!
1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year? Likely at my brother and SIL's house with my nephew-SIL celebrates Christmas, we don't so we do both a Hanukkah and Christmas day on Christmas.
2. What are you asking for? Pajamas, maybe a new heart rate monitor, iTunes and Barnes and Noble gift cards and perfume.
3. What are you buying your SO? No SO to buy for--yay!
1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year? We'll actually be in the US this year for Xmas. DH is attending a conference. We'll surprise my family - they don't know we're coming!! (might DD that part later, just in case)!
2. What are you asking for? No clue! I think my present will be the Zumba certification class I'm attending in Dec.
3. What are you buying your SO? He just bought a unlocked iPhone, and a Kindle - so I think he's all set :-P

My Doha Adventures
1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year? - Just me, DH, and the cat. Bliss!
2. What are you asking for? - Didn't really ask for anything, DH never likes to get a list. He always surprises me! I asked for the Harry Potter 7.1/7.2 DVD from my parents though.
3. What are you buying your SO? - I bought him trekking poles and a wooden watch.
1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year? With my family in WI. So my parent's, brother, grandma, uncles/aunts and cousins.
2. What are you asking for? I am not really expecting much. DH talked about replacing my laptop but we'll see. I would love to upgrade my iPhone. It's a 3G and it can no longer have the software updated. So the app updates for ISO 5 run terribly slow and crash all the time.
3. What are you buying your SO? I am not sure. I'm not working so I can't really buy him anything unless we use our money. I probably will write him a nice card maybe bake him a traditional German Christmas dessert.

1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year? At home, we will have my PIL's and SIL here
2. What are you asking for? So far I have asked for the new Penny Vincenzi book that is out. And I will probably ask for something for the house.
3. What are you buying your SO? DH wants a printer. He will get socks and chocolates in his stocking and a small gift (like a book) from DS.
We're going south for a week to my PIL in Oxfordshire. So my PIL, BIL and FSIL (who will be 36 weeks pregnant), SIL and her BF will be there. I'm excited because, as much as I loved our little Christmas at home last year, and as stressy as it is staying at my MIL's house, I know the kids will love being surrounded by family.
2. What are you asking for?
I don't know. I would LOVE a smart phone, a new winter coat, or new boots. I will probably get none of those, so should try and think of some less expensive options that people can pick out for me. I'm excited to see other people's ideas for inspiration!
3. What are you buying your SO?
Well, we're buying each other a Freeview + box as a joint gift. He will get somthing little from the kids - likely a new phone case, if I can find one.
1. We'll be celebrating with the IL's at their house here in town.
2. The Grey's Anatomy seasons 1-5 box set.
3. I already bought his "big" gift, which was Elder Scrolls Skyrim (xbox 360 game).
1. We're in Ireland and will celebrate with my family. We're both sad not to go to Romania and miss the family but it didn't work out this year with DH's internship and finances.
2. I want a new hairdryer and brush to deal with my fringe. Some clothes too would be lovely as I got rid of my older/bigger clothes (sorry, that seems AW-ish)
3. I'd love to get him a set of funky t-shirts (a la post above). He also wants a new electric shaver and some practical things.
1- I think this year will only be us with my parents for Christmas Eve, then Christmas Day with some expats that are here from Ireland that DH knows and won't be w/ their families.
2- I have a little list going. So far I'd like new Cath Kidston mugs, a pair of boots and gift vouchers for Sephora.
3- I am thinking we won't. DH travels so much so he really doesn't have the time to worry about what to get me, and he's kinda picky so it might be a nice present for both of us if we just not have to!
1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year? We are going to Switzerland and will be spending Xmas with DH's friend's family.
2. What are you asking for? A Kindle Fire
3. What are you buying your SO? I'm buying him a special camera connection thing for his iPad and not sure what else...I have some time, right?

1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year? We are celebrating here in Delft, NL and it will be just DH and I. It will be hard not celebrating with our extended family but I'm also excited to spending quality time with DH and experiencing the holidays in NL for the first time.
2. What are you asking for? A crossbody purse to make biking a little easier, a perfume I have been eyeing. Nothing big this year.
3. What are you buying your SO? SO is really into boardgames, a couple of nice shirts and possibly cologne too.
1. We'll be in TX so we'll do Christmas Eve with H's whole family and then split Christmas day between his family and mine.
2. new IPhone
3. I'll probably get him something small. He bought himself a watch that was supposed to be his gift for everything this year.
1. We are doing an early Christmas with my parents here (like 2 weeks early) and then flying to the UK for 16 days to be with my ILs.
2. I have no idea what I want!
3. We are going to Edinburgh for a night and going out for a really nice meal so we may just say that is our gifts to each other.
1. Where and with whom are you celebrating this year?
My parents always host Christmas. They live like a mile down the road. Sister & BIL will be there. Probably g-ma (dad's mom; my lone surviving g-parent) & my uncle. Maybe his son but it depends on if it's his ex-w's holiday.
2. What are you asking for?
A new laptop. Mine is 8 yrs old (for real) & it's served me well but uber slow & the CD/DVD drive no longer works.
3. What are you buying your SO?
Good question!
1) Not sure yet, DH and I are waiting until the begininng of December then buying plane tickets to wherever is cheap!
2) New running shoes, Kindle Fire...
3) No idea!
1. First year I won't be home for Christmas in my entire life and I'm pretty bummed, but it is a week before my due date and doc said I can't travel
Dad said he maybe able to come up to see me on Christmas though. We are celebrating Hannukah at home with some friends this year!
2. New camera, Kindle, fun craft supplies, new shoes, new PJs and slippers
3. Haven't decided yet. Either an LCD for his office, new golf clubs or a gas grill with all the cool accessories. Oh and a new baby.
My Israel Blog!
1. We are staying in Jakarta, but my Dad and Sister are coming to visit, I can't wait, for the first time in years Christmas is going to be a relaxed event, no crazy mothers or MIL's to go over the top and stress everyone out!
2. I don't know yet, the only thing I really need is a new pair of birkenstocks.
3. I have no idea, he is the hardest person every to buy presents for.
1. we'll go down to see the inlaws for a few days, with my brother in tow
2. I asked for this parking thing that a red light goes off when you bump it with your car so you know where to stop in the garage. I may be getting the suv I want before we move - so I'd like to keep it in good shape!!!
3. don't know.... I was thinking something having to do with boats/fishing - like a voucher to go out somewhere - I really need to get on that.... *sigh* I find xmas shopping SO stressful!
1) Cape Town, RSA with friends of ours from Prague. (They're from SA, not Prague, but we met them when we were both living there).
2) A new lens for my camera
3) I haven't the faintest clue.
1. We never go home for the holidays, it's just too expensive (and cold!) to travel this time of year. So we'll be having Christmas with whoever is around, we tend to do a big dinner with our friends each year. We're probably going to host this year as the person who used to has moved.
2/3. We don't do gifts for each other usually but we've done a secret santa for Christmas with our friends before which is always fun. We're going to Budapest in March and getting tickets to the opera for a treat.
