Job stuff and Occupy stuff
Oh. Em. Gee.
We just had an office wide meeting about the disbanning of SPO. They are elminating about 12 positions. Mine is OK so far...they just want me to take on another persons job. SO I would be doing the work of three full time employees.
THEN. Occupy Capitol Park came up to our office!!!!!!!!! My dad is over there trying to reason with them. OMG. They have signs and everythign. And they are videotaping it!
I need to go down stairs but I dont' want to walk near them!

They came to your OFFICE? That's so weird. Maybe they just got tired of camping and wanted to rustle up some fun.
That sucks about work - I hate that places don't realize that if you keep people but work them into the ground, the outcome isn't going to be great. I'm all for streamlining and whatnot, but there's no reason for one person to be doing the work of three people. Unless the three people were each doing the work of one-third person to begin with. But it doesn't sound like that's the case here.
I am glad that your job is safe at this point. It sucks to have to take on another person's work, but it's always easier to find a new job when you already have one
I cannot believe they are in your office. I can't even imagine the smell.

Wow, that is a double whammy of not awesome for your day! So sorry that you not only had to deal w/ work stresses and having to take on even MORE responsibility, but also smelly, misguided protestors- ouch!

You'd never guess, just by the title of your job, that your office is Drama Central! I am happy, though, that you at least have some breathing room with your job-- although I am sad for those who are losing theirs, especially so close to the holidays. Like Kristy said, though-- it's better to find a new job while you still have one (if that's how you end up deciding on going)...
The Occupy folks make no sense, though-- why building codes and planning? When I have an issue with Government, I don't go to folks who don't make any decisions on the issues that effect me. That's like going to a dentist for a foot problem!
