Seriously wench?!
My husbands ex seriously called him today and said "How would you feel about being neighbors?" He was like well it'd be nice if the girls (13 and 12) were closer... and she said no right next door. Like literally we live in a townhouse. We live in a complex with DOZENS of townhouses, and they call her about the one right next door to us (she's getting a divorce). Why would you even ask that? We do NOT like her... my husband is appearing in court for her soon to be ex husband to testify as to what kind of mother she is. Yes, it would probably be in the girls best interest because we would have access to them 24/7, but I would end up punching her.

Hmmm. I know its frustrating, but if it would benefit the girls then I would suck it up and live with it. I'm sorry that this is coming home to roost. What does your H say? It sounds like the girls need a stable environment (from the "what kind of mother she is" comment) and their father.
Hopefully she won't be a psycho.

"It would be nice if the girls were closer" are they both her girls and he is somehow in their lives or do you guys have a DD and she does as well?
What did he say when she said "right next door"?
Is she aware that he will be testifying against her in court?
Who are "they" (the people that called about the place next to yours) and are they aware of the situation?
If you guys don't like her, why is she calling? And why are you guys answering?
To be quite honest, it sounds like more than one person in this situation is a dramallama. There's also something about you having 24/7 access to the kids here, too, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Kind of like you want the drama but are using the kids as an excuse.
This reminds me of the Friends episode where Monica and Chandler buy their house in the burbs and find out that Janis is thinking about buying the house next door.
