Somehow our FriendThanksgiving got turned into an Italian theme for this coming weekend. I always have a hard time coming up w/ sides to make when I'm making Italian things. I think the host is making lasagna and stuffed shells.
Any suggestions for apps, sides, or dessert recipes? I think I might take garlic knots or bruschetta but I'd like to make something else too. I thought about a salad but those aren't really fun to make.
Happiest place on Earth!

Re: Italian Potluck
I'm an odd duck in that I like to make things on the weekend lol. This is why I don't want to do a salad.
That might not be a bad idea though since I'm going to be making bread which is more time consuming.
Do a search on foodnetwork.com and see if there are any ideas you like. You can narrow down by side dishes and regional cuisine, etc.
I would say Tiramisu for dessert...I love Tiramisu! I am sure that Pinterest has a ton of recipes that you could find on there or Italian themed dishes for inspiration.
How about meatballs? Or I remember when I was in Italy I had some great cooked veggie side dishes. I wonder if you could find any recipes online.
If you are really ambitious (and have an ice cream maker) you could totally make gelato.... mmmm...
I change my suggestion. How could I have forgotten Tiramisu!!!! Now I want some! Where the heck am I going to find tiramisu at 9 in the morning????
Ooooo meatballs!! I make some mean meatballs. I wonder if I could bring some mini rolls, peppers, and slices of provolone for meatball sliders. That sounds so tasty right about now.
Olives are the spawn of satan. You should embroider that on a bib.
