Holy CRAP, I'm in a lot of pain today.
I've been having sharp, shooting pain in my right ovary today that feels just like some times when I'm ovulating mid-cycle (but stronger), but I'm due to start my period tomorrow, so it's not that.
My friend thinks it might be an ovarian cyst, which I've never had before. Anyone have any experience with them? What should I do?
Re: NSOR: ovarian cysts
I had them (and had one ovary removed because of them) but never had any pain from them. I'd call your doctor and have it checked out.
I'm going through the same thing right now. It's definitely not fun. I have an ultrasound on Thursday to check on the little bugger.
Most certainly go to the doc as soon as you can.
My roommate in college had a cyst on her ovary that burst in the middle of the night. Not fun. I remember taking her to the emergency room, and she was in SO much pain. Screaming, yelling, crying, etc.
If you're experiencing this much pain now, definitely get it checked out. (A cyst bursting is 100x as bad, I hear). So get in front of it now before it could possibly get worse.
